The Quarry Trail Map
The quarry has an outer loop that is about 10-12 miles long if you do it all and you will not ride over the same trail twice. There are some cut backs if you do not want to do certain sections. The best way to explore the trail if you are not familiar with exactly where to go is to go on a group ride with us and we would love to have you. The beginner group rides are just a few miles around the ridgeline while the advanced group rides will do the entire large loop. Email Grouprides@FATMUG.org to join the fun.

Directions to Quarry
Trails:
From I-95:
Take Exit 130 to Culpeper. Stay in right lane and take
the first right into the
Central Park shopping area
on Carl D. Silver Parkway. Stay on Carl D. Silver Parkway
until you reach the traffic light at the
intersection with Fall Hill Ave.
Turn right onto Fall Hill Ave. Travel about
3/4 mile on Fall Hill
down a long hill. Cross
narrow canal at bottom of hill and make an
immediate right turn
after bridge into the gravel
parking lot. If you stay on
Fall Hill Ave until it starts to go back up-hill then you've gone
too far. Follow directions below "From the Parking Lot on Fall Hill
Ave".
From Rt 3 West of
Fredericksburg: Turn left on Fall Hill Ave and follow Fall
Hill Ave down the big hill. Cross narrow canal at bottom of hill and
make an immediate right turn after bridge into the gravel parking
lot. If you stay on Fall Hill Ave until it starts to go back
up-hill then you've gone too far. Follow directions below "From the
Parking Lot on Fall Hill Ave".
From Rt 3 East of
Fredericksburg: After you cross 95 take you first right
into the Central Park shopping area on Carl D. Silver Parkway. Stay
on Carl D. Silver Parkway until you reach the traffic light at the
intersection with Fall Hill Ave. Turn right onto Fall Hill Ave.
Travel about 3/4 mile on Fall Hill down a long hill. Cross narrow
canal at bottom of hill and make an immediate right turn after
bridge into the gravel parking lot. If you stay on Fall Hill Ave
until it starts to go back up-hill then you've gone too far. Follow
directions below "From the Parking Lot on Fall Hill Ave".
From the Parking Lot on
Fall Hill Ave: Walk across Fall Hill Ave to the gravel
road beside the canal. Follow the gravel road
until it terminates near the river. Get on the narrow gravel
path that leads upstream. Follow that path to Wicklow
Drive (another gravel road).
Head left (up-hill) on Wicklow to trailhead on right or
head right (slight down-hill) on Wicklow towards the Quarry.. One
trailhead will be located on the left side of Wicklow after you
cross a concrete bridge. Continuing on Wicklow Drive will lead
you to the Quarry where two additional trailheads can be found,
one on each side of the Quarry.
